Monthly meetings of the Mecosta County Park Commission are held at the Mecosta County Services Building in Big Rapids, MI.
Address: 14485 Northland Drive entering through door 3 on the north end of the building into conference room F.
The meetings are scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm.

PUBLIC NOTICE - REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS – ENGINEERING SERVICES
The Mecosta County Park Commission is requesting proposals from qualified professional engineering firms for the Michigan's Dragon Trail at Hardy Dam – Segment 7 Flood Damage Restoration and Hazard Mitigation Project.
The project involves engineering services for restoration of flood-related damage resulting from the April 2026 flooding, as well as evaluation and design of hazard mitigation improvements intended to reduce future flood damage. Services include site investigation, surveying, engineering analysis, design, construction plans and specifications, cost estimating, permitting assistance, FEMA coordination, bidding assistance, construction administration, and project closeout.
MCPC prefers natural and nature-based restoration methods, including stone and timber stabilization, where technically feasible and appropriate. The selected consultant will independently evaluate the site and determine the appropriate engineering solution.
Proposals shall provide a lump-sum total engineering fee, separately identifying fees for Flood Damage Restoration and Hazard Mitigation services.
