School Section Lake Veteran's Park offers 75 seasonal
campsites. At this time, all seasonal campsites
have been reserved for the 2009 season. If you
are
interested in becoming a seasonal camper in 2010 or beyond,
you must fill out a seasonal lot request form which can be
found in our campground office. These forms are
available beginning opening day of each summer season.
Even if you are considering becoming a seasonal camper, a
form should be filled out. If the park staff does call
you to offer you a campsite, you always have the ability to
turn the site down. So don't worry, fill out the
request form and think about becoming a seasonal camper!!

School Section Lake Veteran's Park's
86 acres include 167 campsites, five
cabins, picnic shelters, a sandy
swimming beach and a family group
camp complete with six rustic cabins
and a main lodge with kitchen and
dining area. School Section is
a pleasant combination of history,
nature and modern camping for an
enjoyable recreation experience.

School
Section Lake Veteran's Park will begin accepting reservations for
all cabins and campsites on May 1, 2009 at 8:00 am.

FIREWOOD |

The Mecosta County
Park Commission has decided to continue its current policy
which does not allow campers to bring in their own firewood.
We have reviewed the press release stating that the firewood
ban has been lifted from the Lower Peninsula, but also take
heed to the requests that we still not move firewood as new
pests are beginning to cause problems with other tree
species.
Firewood must be
purchased through our park office, or through an approved
wood vendor. The wood vendor list, when it becomes
available in March, can be found
here.

School Section Lake
Veteran's Park has both ADA Showers and flush
toilets
-
All campsites have
electric hook-up and water hook-up as well as a picnic
table and fire pit on the site.

Use of the dump
station is free to registered campers (there is a charge
for non-registered guests)

Each campsite is
allowed:
- One primary camping unit (tent, trailer, motor home,
etc.)
- One additional tent
- Eight people maximum per site
- Two vehicles per site, plus one trailer (boat or
utility)
