Do you love to camp at our Mecosta County Parks, but hate to try to make reservations when you don't know which sites are occupied by a seasonal camper?  We have a solution!!  Our campground map is now published online with the seasonal sites blocked out, so planning where to stay with your friends has never been easier!!  Click here to view the map.

seasonal sites

Paris Park still has  seasonal campsites available.  A deposit of $100.00 is required to become a seasonal camper.  Paris Park's 2009 seasonal rate is $750.00 for a site with water and electric and $850.00 for a site with water electric and sewer.  Please call the Administrative Office at this time to find out which campsites are available for seasonal camping.  If you love to camp, don't spend the gas money to haul your camper every weekend, just leave it with us!!!

Paris Park is located at the site of the old Paris State Fish Hatchery and has 40 wooded acres on the Muskegon River with 68 campsites nestled under a broadleaf canopy- adjacent to the White Pine Trail State Park.  Shaded picnic areas surround trout and waterfowl ponds.  With three cabins, Paris Park  is a great spot for a quiet respite.

We still have sites available for the 4th of July weekend!!

FIREWOOD

The Mecosta County Park Commission has decided to continue its current policy which does not allow campers to bring in their own firewood.  We have reviewed the press release stating that the firewood ban has been lifted from the Lower Peninsula, but also take heed to the requests that we still not move firewood as new pests are beginning to cause problems with other tree species.

Firewood must be purchased through our park office, or through an approved wood vendor.  The wood vendor list, when it becomes available in March, can be found here.
