Tubbs Lake
State Forest Campground

 
 
 

Tubbs Lake State Forest Campgrounds provide 33 rustic camping sites with centrally located water, dumpsters vault toilets, and  2 boat launches.  Located approx. eight miles from Barryton, Tubbs Lake is nestled within the Martiny Flooding Area.  Locally famous for the endless fishing, boating and relaxation opportunities which are available here.  Would you like more information?   Click here.

Are you a hunting or fishing enthusiast looking for a great place to camp?


Try out our beautiful campground for your next trip.  We are conveniently located close to the city of Big Rapids and we offer rustic sites with handicap accessible pit toilets and a hand pump on site for water.  Camp close to the water and bring your boat to one of our two launches!!!! The Mecosta County Park Commission is run completely from revenue generated in the parks and offers access to many active and passive recreational activities.  We own and/or operate six campgrounds and one day use park with  boat launch, all of which are situated on water and are spread out among the 576 square miles of our Mecosta County.  If you would like to enjoy the outdoors without the added cost of a long trip up North, stop by and see us, we would love to have you as our guest!!!!
 

Brower Park

Brower Park is accepting reservations! 

Brower Park is located on the Muskegon River and provides access to 18 miles of navigable river on the backwaters of the Hardy Dam.  The park's 280 acres accommodated 230 campsites, 10 cabins, and almost 8,000 ft. of river frontage. Boating, fishing and fun is the name of the game at Brower!

Paris  Park

 
 
 
 

Paris Park is located at the site of the old Paris State Fish Hatchery and has 40 wooded acres on the Muskegon River with 68 campsites nestled under a broadleaf canopy- adjacent to the White Pine Trail State Park.  Shaded picnic areas surround trout and waterfowl ponds.  With three cabins, Paris Park  is a great spot for a quiet respite. 

Merrill Lake  Park

 
 


Merrill Lake Park offers frontage on TWO lakes (Merrill and Gorrel) with 147 campsites and four cabins situated on 90 acres.  Merrill Lake Park offers both semi-modern and rustic camping sites..  Two beaches, two play areas, four shelters and two boat launches enhance this picturesque getaway.

School Section Lake Veteran's Park's 86 acres include 167 campsites, five cabins, picnic shelters, a sandy swimming beach and a family group camp complete with six rustic cabins and a main lodge with kitchen and dining area.  School Section is a pleasant combination of history, nature and modern camping for an enjoyable recreation experience.

Beginning in 2010, Family Group Camp Reservations will be made at School Section Lake Park after April 23, 2010. 

Are you looking for a place where your family can enjoy the beautiful outdoors while still having the convenience of home?  Our Family Group Camp is the perfect getaway for you!!  Cabin style living is paired with a modern kitchen and dining area in a rustic log cabin lodge at our Family Group Camp. Call the Administrative Office for reservations!! After April 23, 2010, please phone the park where you plan to have your event. 

Picnic Reservations for School Section Lake Park, Merrill Lake Park or Paris Park may be made by calling the Administrative Office at (231)-832-3246. 
  Brower Park does not offer any picnic shelters.
